Abstract:
As Minorities' Day is observed in Pakistan on August 11th, 1947, it is an important day in history. The founder of the nation, Mohammad Ali Jinnah, addressed the nation's first Legislative Assembly on this day. The terminology used to allude to Pakistan placed a strong emphasis on the freedom of religion. The State's founding leaders wanted to establish a free state where every minority group could practice their religion without fear of retaliation. Unfortunately, political religious groups that claimed to be the guardians of Islam quickly took over the State of Pakistan. At the moment, there is a lot of hostility towards diversity and interfaith understanding, which has led to a number of instances of forced conversion and a large exodus of minority groups. Every year, there are numerous reports of mistreatment and prejudice based on religious affiliation, religion, or ritual, a pattern that is regrettably becoming more prevalent.
